Can you share a bit about why you choose to do what you do?

Our “why” is simple: we believe every celebration deserves to feel extraordinary. We exist to create moments that people will remember for a lifetime — the packed dance floors, the emotional first dances, the joyful singalongs. Music has the power to bring people together, and we’re passionate about using that power to elevate events, connect guests, and create an atmosphere where everyone feels the magic.

How would your clients describe working with you?

Our clients describe working with High Class DJs as seamless, professional, and unforgettable. Tell us about a big lesson that you've learned while in your industry.

ne of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that no two events — or clients — are the same. Early on, it was tempting to think that what worked at one event would automatically work at another. But over time, we’ve realized that truly exceptional service comes from listening deeply, adapting to each client’s unique style, and tailoring the experience to fit their vision, not ours.

We’ve also learned the importance of staying calm under pressure. Even the most carefully planned events can have surprises, and how we handle those moments defines the client’s experience. Flexibility, preparation, and grace are just as important as talent behind the booth.

We all have favorite wedding moments. Can you share with us some of your favorites?

1. The packed dance floor after the couple’s first dance — that magical moment when the formalities fade, the lights shift, and everyone rushes onto the floor to join in the celebration. Seeing guests of all ages let loose together is always unforgettable.

2. The emotional father-daughter or mother-son dances — those quiet, tender moments remind us why we do what we do. We’ve seen laughter through tears, surprise choreographed dances, and raw, genuine connections that stick with us long after the night ends.

3. The grand exit or last song send-off — when the couple is surrounded by all their favorite people, singing at the top of their lungs or dancing under a sparkler tunnel. It’s the perfect closing chapter to a night we’re proud to help create.

Who was your most memorable wedding/couple and why?

One of our most memorable couples was a pair who trusted us completely to create an unforgettable party — and they brought the energy. From the moment the reception started, they were on the dance floor, pulling guests in, hyping the crowd, and setting the tone for the night.

What made it so special wasn’t just the music or the production (though we nailed that too!) — it was the trust and connection we built with them ahead of time. They allowed us to be creative, customize the soundtrack to their personalities, and take the lead in reading the room. That wedding reminded us how magical it is when a couple fully leans into the experience and lets us help make their vision a reality.

If you could give advice to your past self or someone starting new, what would you say?

I’d tell my past self (or anyone just starting out): focus on relationships, not just the performance. Yes, talent, skill, and gear matter — but the real key to long-term success is how you treat people. Build genuine connections with clients, planners, venues, and vendors. Communicate clearly, be reliable, and always follow through.

Also, remember that every event is a learning opportunity. Stay humble, stay adaptable, and never stop improving. The industry will challenge you, but if you lead with passion, professionalism, and care, you’ll create a business that people trust and love.

What is something that you really excel at when it comes to your business? Can you share a tip?

We truly excel at client communication and detailed event preparation. From the moment a client reaches out, we focus on understanding their vision, guiding them through music choices, timelines, and special moments so that nothing is left to chance. We believe a perfectly executed event starts with clear, responsive communication long before the first song plays.

Tip: Never underestimate the power of preparation. The best events happen when you combine talent with behind-the-scenes organization. We recommend creating detailed run-of-show timelines, having backup plans, and keeping open communication with all vendors — it’s the key to staying calm and delivering excellence on event day.

What is an achievement you're most proud of?

We’re most proud of building High Class DJs into a respected, sought-after name in the luxury event space. We started as a small team with a big passion for music and entertainment, and over time, we’ve grown into a company known for excellence, professionalism, and unforgettable guest experiences.

What makes this achievement so meaningful is that it’s built on trust — from clients, planners, venues, and our incredible team. Seeing our reputation grow, getting referrals from top planners, and being part of some of the most memorable celebrations — that’s the achievement we’re truly proud of.
